Well for New Orleans, that was a whimpy storm. I can't believe how lucky we were that it just skirted by us. It only rained about 3 minutes, and the rest of the time was just a very windy experience. That big wheel of clouds in the sky was really cool looking from the rooftop in the French Quarter. It was very surreal. I drank myself through the hurricane as did many proud drunken citizens of New Orleans. Thanks Jimmy, Bob, and Laura for calling and helping me pass the time.

Hello Benjamin,
John Shannon suggested I give ya a holler. :)
I was just writing here in your blog about your conversation on islamic terrorism and my fingers slipped. Everything I wrote got zapped. :( Allah, I hate it when that happens!!!!
All the terrorism is about oil, weapons, and reconstruction contracts. I know that sounds simplistic, but that is what it is about, and it's not simplistic at all once you start looking at the details of it.
The religion is just thrown in to stir up the ants, so they won't notice what it is all really about. I had typed a bunch of cool links here to make my case on the oil, but I don't feel like looking 'em up again. Lazy fem!
Sorry, it just drives me nuts when I have carefully crafted a comment or post and the Gods zap it away. Just cause Hera is having a bad Hera day. :-(
Nice blog though. Keep up the good work. BTW, I like some of your tastes in music and movies. When I grow up I'm going to be in a garage band. :) Or maybe I'll just end up living in someone's garage when I am otherwise destitute.
Best Wishes,
Sheryl
glad you made it through okay. what a season!
