Entergy has gone 6 months without reading my gas or my electric meter. My highest monthly estimated bill during that time was $85. I always paid and was always current. Now they take their first reading and it comes to a $700 bill. They don't have payment plans. They want it all right now. Fuckin' Bastards!!! I just spent 2 hours on the phone being transferred about 12 times, just to find out that my meter was just read and that amount is accurate. (Even though the bill says estimated) How the hell am I suppose to make $700 magically appear? I just have to pay what I can as I go and hope I can string them along long enough to get it paid off without getting it all shut off. I suppose that it would be too much to ask for them to pay for the food that kept spoiling in my refrigerator everytime they've shut off the power in my neighborhood over the past 5 months. My power has gone out about 40 times at least since October. It still hasn't stopped. I wake up about once a week to a blinking alarm clock. Perhaps this wasn't a good time for me to be taking a vacation financially, but mentally it is required, so I'm going anyway. Damn, I've been obsessed with money shit lately. O.K., no more new posts from me about money for awhile.

Without much commentary, a few simple links to pull up and ponder. If Israel and Palestine were to go to war, Israel would annihilate Palestine. Then what would happen?

Maybe the U.S. in Iraq was more of a needed long term military stratagy. Do we turn a blind eye to the nation we helped create?

My personal feeling is that it shouldn't have been created to begin with, but it was. So there we are.
